How to Install Your Email Signature in Gmail
Follow the steps below to set up your email signature correctly:
How To:
1. Open Gmail Settings

Go to Gmail
-
Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right corner
-
Then click “See all settings”
2. Create a New Signature
-
In the “General” tab, scroll down to “Signature”
-
Click “Create new”
-
Give it a name (for example: My Signature)
3. Add Your Signature
-
Open the HTML signature file in your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.)
-
Select everything (Cmd + A / Ctrl + A)
-
Copy (Cmd + C / Ctrl + C)
-
Go back to Gmail and paste it into the signature box (Cmd + V / Ctrl + V)
4. Set as Default
Choose your new signature for:
-
New emails
-
Replies/forwards
5. Save Changes
-
Scroll to the bottom of the page
-
Click “Save Changes”
6. Test Your Signature
-
Click “Compose” and check if:
-
Images are loading correctly
-
Links (email, phone, social media) are clickable
-
Layout looks correct
